mini cooper s lowering springs DIY HELP!
hello im just looking for someone in the NY/NJ area that could please install my h&r springs in my mini..i realy dont have 200 dollars to bring to a shop and i need this done by this saturday..thanks and let me know!
I'm on Long Island. I'd definitely help you out if I'm not at school or work. I don't have load of experience, but if you just need another set of hands I don't mind. I will probably get the same springs eventually so I'll know how to do it.
Check out the DIY. With some basic hand tools and a jack you should be able to get it done.

Call your local autozone and borrow/rent a spring compressor. OR remove the struts from the car and have a local NAPA remove the old springs. IIRC, you may not need a spring compressor to reassemble if they are lowring springs.

It's about a 4-8 hour job DIY depending on tools, knowledge, and assistants.
I did mine, half in the rain, with a friend a couple weeks ago in 4 hours. An impact gun does speed things up on disassembly but it's not at all a requisite.
Go for it. You'll learn something!
FOR SHO!! With another set of hands you should be able to complete the install without a prob! Just follow Adams instructions and you'll be golden!!
thanks for all the help guys..me and my friend just finished it last night..took us about 4 hours. they look really good ..i also put new rims tires at the same time..but the only thing thats worrying me is my low tire pressure light came on and my service engine soon light came on as well..what do you guys think?

Yeah, those lights can be very coincidental. I had mine come on during the drive home from getting new tires put on. Nothing to do with the tires (thermostat). Just happened to come up at that particular moment.
Per the Bentley Manual, the front strut assembly pinch bolt on an R56 tightening torque is 100 Nm (74 ft-lbs) and the strut upper bearing to strut tower is 34Nm (25 ft-lbs). Rear strut lower mount to trailing arm 165 Nm (122 ft-lb) and rear strut upper mount to body 56 Nm (41 ft-lb). For the F56, 2015 they do not have a manual with listed toque specs yet.
