Greetings from North Carolina
Hello all! My girlfriend just picked up an '05 MCS a couple weeks ago and since I'm the one who's going to be modding it and maintaining it for her, I figured I'd introduce myself here. I'm no stranger to euro cars as I've had quite a few, never a Mini though! Here's how the car looked when she picked it up:
She let me get my hands on it this past thursday night, since then I spent a few nights in the garage and here are the results, the only work I didn't do myself was the tint which is 35% all around and 70% on the windshield:
She was coming from a 4 door civic so this was a nice little upgrade. The cosmetics are done for the most part, probably going to add some new wheels but these work for now and will make a good track setup (Already signed her up for an event at VIR). Also plan on doing a pulley upgrade, intake, custom exhaust, and a set of coilovers. Let me know what you guys think!

Way cool R53. Looks really nice w/ the blacked out trim. Also to change the subject.........don't forget to wave to your fellow Mini drivers......and Join the League of Exterodinay Miniacs........waving is part of the 'Mini Culture'. Oh and wave back at Mini owners who wave at you.

Oh don't worry, its going to be my GF's first track event ever so I'll have my Contour and GoPro on the car so there will be plenty of pics and videos
I'll check that out, I'm not the one driving the car so I may have to have her join it. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for the heads up, I'll check that out for sure
She debated between red and blue but settled on the red. I've had a bit of everything... Just in the last 2 years I've had a BMW X5 in estoril blue with a manual trans, Mercedes E350 coupe, E63 M6, E60 M5, E46 330ci ZHP, 2 E90 335's, 2 E46 M3's, Audi B7 S4, Audi B6 Ultrasport, BMW E30 325is Mtech1 with an S50 swap, Lotus Elise, a couple E36 M3's one of which was a GTS3 car, and a bunch of different B6 Audi S4's. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few but you get the idea, none of them were even close to stock, some say I have a car problem haha.
Thanks! I'll be sure to post more as the car continues to be modded.
