I finally finished changing the hub but now i Can't get the wheel speed sensor to go in

 

I put a bolt down the hole and it is clear except for a little indention near the bottom where I assume the flat part of the sensor fits.
I thought I'd tighten the screw and tap it in with a screwdriver and the stupid plastic mount broke in half.
It just won't go in and my patience is gone.
Enough for today.

I guess I'll try to epoxy the mount back together tomorrow.

But what would make the sensor so hard to go in?

i had the same problem. it could just be corroded in the hole just take a wire brush and clean it out real good then spray some lub on it and try to press it in. i wouldnt tap on it tho its too easy to break

 

Turned out it was the dust ring on the back of the wheel bearing. It had gotten bent just enough to keep the sensor from going back in place.
