I have a factory HK headunit that I would like to trade for another HK factory headunit. The catch is, i'm looking for a factory headunit that is from a mini that has a production date of 4/2005+.
This may all sound very silly, but in previous models (cars built before 4/2005), the HK headunit is not capable of CD Text. And while it hasn't been an issue for me because I've had the AUX installed since I purchased the car, its time to refresh my mini with some new technology. I've been looking to fully integrate my ipod with my stock system, this includes text on the HU, and full control from the stereo or steering wheel. Currently, this isn't possible with my current headunit.
Anyways, i know a lot of you have upgraded your HK headunit, and maybe its in the garage collecting dust or something now. Or you're a kind hearted soul, who doesn't plan on adding anything to your current system and would be willing to trade me. I'd be even willing to give away the AUX connection with my headunit since I won't be needing that anymore if I can get the full ipod integration.
So, if you're interested and you're wondering how to check your production date.....the date is located on the driver side door jamb. Remember, it has to be 4/2005+.

BTW, it goes without saying (although, I'll say it anyways ) my headunit is immaculate, I baby everything about my car, so you can rest assure you will be trading for a perfect stereo.
