Name OctaneGuy's New Sauce and Win!!!
I'm very excited to announce that I will be launching at AMVIV, a very special "concoction" for dressing and protecting the exterior plastic trim on your MINI. This product goes on very easy, lasts for months, and gives you that just detailed look. It's been developed and used by a professional detailer--Moi!
As a special surprise, I have randomly chosen 5 NAMers out of the 55 or so people who have purchased my Detailing DVD, and they will each receive a mini sample of my new gel, enough to completely dress all exterior trim pieces (front and rear lips, side skirts, and arch trims. What I'm looking for is feedback. You will know if you're one of the lucky few by PM tomorrow (Monday).
How does this "trim gel" differ from other products?
First off, it's been designed to last without negatively affecting the look of the trim pieces. Using severely weathered MINI test pieces (that have seen rain and sun for nearly two year while off the MINI), the pieces were restored to new condition with a single application. Then the pieces were subjected to daily exposure to sun and rain (mostly sun) and temperatures between 40 to 80 degrees over a one month period. Incredibly the restored pieces still looked like new.
Why come up with another trim product??
Because as a professional detailer, having a product that lasts is important and almost nothing looks worse than faded arch trims caked in old wax! Follow up maintenance is a simple wipe with a microfiber towel to remove any loose surface dust or buildup.
Features:
The gel does not change the shininess of the plastic
It contains gentle cleansers to remove wax and other buildup on the trim
It contains UV absorbers for protection from the sun
It doesn't attract dust
Disappointed you didn't get selected to receive the sample?
With the "chosen" 5, set to receive samples in the next week, I also need help in coming up with a name!
Name OctaneGuy's Sauce!
Ok without spoiling the fun, I'm open to all sorts of names. The sauce reference comes from opposing the commonly used term "dressing". It's ok to use the OctaneGuy name in it, but for product longevity, I'd probably want to exclude that OctaneGuy reference from it--should I ever change my nicname, LOL.
The product will be sold under my ShowCarGarage brand, but the product name can be anything. So use our imagination, and post to my thread over in the Detailing101 forum. On Saturday, March 10, I will post a poll with the top 5 or 10 names (depending on total pool) and the top 3 names will be voted on by the NAMers and each winning name (one prize per person) will be awarded the first production bottles of my new sauce.

Finally, a few notes about this product:
This product is a custom formulation by one of the greatest scientists of all time with 40+ years in the formulation business, my wonderful father.
