Webb Motorsports Update
Webb Motorsports Update
Whew! As usual, we have been extremely busy here at WMS. We are attending AMVIV and will be doing installs both Thursday and Friday at the Palace Station host hotel - you can check out the schedule here. We are also entering two cars in the Phil Wick's MINI Challenge series on Saturday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which we have been feverishly trying to prep.
We will also be at the Sebring event on April 2 in Florida, as well as doing installs on April 1 (which is Saturday) in the area. You can sign up for any installs here for the Florida event.
The shop has been going full bore lately, with one of the big projects Craig Wilcox's SCCA STX autocross MINI. Stay tuned for the full write up with pics on our site. I'll make sure to post a Vendor Announcement with a link here on NAM.
We've also been continuing our work on WMS brand products, as well as working with folks like Helix, H-Sport, and M7 on developing other products. Here's a look at some of our brand new, not even on the website yet, products (we'll have some at AMVIV):

Webb Motorsports Crank Pulley
This is a brand new item with the size we have found to be the best improvement when used with our 15% supercharger pulley. This unit also works great with the JCW cars. This pulley is the lightest on the market at less than 1 pound. It also makes more power because it is RED!

Webb Motorsports Short Shifter
This short shifter uses a patent pending locking system that does away with allen screws and keeps the lateral arm 90 degrees from the shifter - no chance for a sloppy install or a loose shifter! It is available for both early and late MINIs.
We also have had some items added to the site that we haven't yet announced, such as our new supercharger pulley. This is the unit we have engineered after using everyone else's and tweaking our original design by adding a center hole to check for tolerances and remove weight, as well as minimizing the rotational mass by keeping a 15% reduction but reducing the overall diameter of the pulley. Here's a shot of the new piece:

Webb Motorsports Supercharger Pulley
We are also happy to announce the finalization of the Webb Motorsports Exhaust. The first two units will be installed in Vegas, and the full production run should be available within the next two weeks. This unit has the highest numbers of any product we have tested, and the sound is finally right! Cost and performance numbers will be announced shortly. Here's a (bad) shot of it:

Webb Motorsports Exhaust
Of course, the new products have been doing extremely well - so well that we've had a tough time keeping them in stock! We should have another 20 swaybars and 20 HDI Boxes within the next week.

Webb Motorsports High Density Induction Box

Webb Motorsports Extreme Rear Swaybar
We're also still working on a few other cool new products on our own and with others like Gintani. Here's a peek at something we are working on for the stock intercooler that is a great improvement from a flow perspective:

Webb Motorsports Thermal Dispersion Unit
Because of our travel with the new race season, it may be difficult to get back to phone messages straight away. Bridget and Ollie will be in the office, but with limited technical support. Thank you all for your patience! Brian and I will return from Sebring on April 7, but the website will be up and running for orders as well. We are also going to bring the computer to try to keep up with e-mail.
We will be doing more track video as the season progresses as well as points updates. Brian and I will be running the entire Phil Wick's Challenge Series, and Craig Wilcox will be running the SCCA Pro Solo and National Tour in autocross competition. Stay tuned!
Thanks again for your amazing support of Webb Motorsports. I promise to continue upgrading all fronts of our business - product, support, and customer service. We look forward to seing many of you at an upcoming event!
