TCE/Wilwood updates

Welcome to 2022 !
Haven't been on the forum in some time. Apologies if I've missed some of your questions on braking performance for your vehicles.

MINI 2001-2013

Would like to let everyone know that TCE has trimmed the brake kit offerings a bit over the past year. However...you can still find the primary staples of our builds for the past 20yrs: This includes the popular Wilwood factory kits in three sizes; 11.75 for 15" wheel users, 12.2" for 16s + and the 13" kits for 17s and larger. *We can still offer you the custom 11.75" kit for you guys who want your 15s but have come to find the .810 rotors just don't hold up....our .980HD castings and mod is superior to the ligher casting and will outlast it perhaps 6...8...10 to 1 for durability when used on a track day car.

From the TCE side we still offer the (first) 13" kit for the MINI; our FSL shod kit and its cousin the Comp Kit with it's custom 92HD rotor for hardcore track day use. This HD casting, like the smaller one mentioned above, is ideal for track use where sustained high temp operation is achieved. Keeping things under you all day long these are the ONLY kits fit with 20MM thick pads offering you 60% more cubic inches of pad than that of the smaller DP kits and a full 2X that of the DP6. There's a reason they are track ready parts!

TCE no longer offers the replacement 2pc rear rotor and caliper relocation parts we did 15yrs ago. The cost was such that it simply makes more sense to move to the (now, formerly TCE) complete rear parking brake kit. Yes it's more money but you get the benefit of the vented rotor and when paired with a 13" DP6 kit the full effect of matching colors and optional drilled and slotted rotors. We have also dropped the "caliper kits" for the 316mm stock rotors. Again between costs and sales volume we felt it made more sense to just move to the complete kits today.

Lastly therre are brackets left for a few of the 14" FNSL6 front kit we produced for those of you runnning 18" wheels. Such large wheels were rather rare back in the early days but it's still alive and available for you today.




MINI 2014+

2014 and newer owners have the Wliwood factory kits to best serve their needs. These are 13" front and 12.2" rear kits using the FNSL6 front and a radial mount NDP rear caliper with secondary spot parking brake caliper bringing a high tech Euro flare to the platform.We've priced these in combo form starting under $3800 to the door. Of course you can opt for a front only kit- just contact TCE for a price.


CLUBMAN/PACEMAN:

For you guys we still have the 13 and 14" front kits as well as the 13" parking brake rear kits. These kits are TCE customs and have been around for some years now. They are a great addition to your car offering a solid value starting at $1700. If you haven't considered big brakes on your Clubman this is the year!
