WILWOOD REAR BIG BRAKE KIT - MINI COOPER & S
Wilwood's high performance Rear Big Brake Kit for the MINI. Designed for the street and track, this brake kit increases stopping power while greatly reducing brake fade.
For all current MINI models: 2002-2006 R50 MINI Cooper and R53 Cooper S Hatchback
2005-2008 R52 MINI Cooper and S Convertibles
2007+ R56 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Hatchback
2008+ R55 MINI Cooper and Cooper S CLUBMANs
2009+ R57 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Convertibles
This kit requires the use of the matching Wilwood Rear Brake Lines.
Features:
Combination hydra-mechanical parking brake caliper.
Smart Pad BP-10 Pads - Offers medium friction compound with the low noise and low dust of a street performance compound and the increased friction characteristics of a semi-metallic race compound. Smooth engagement with consistent response from a flat torque curve throughout its entire effective temperature range with good low to middle temperature wear rates. Beds quickly and provides fast response without excessive abrasion on vented iron rotors.
GT Series Rotor Mounting Hats - Lightweight and strong, these hats are specially designed for use on OE hubs without modifications or interference to the suspension or ABS components. Black anodized finish prevents corrosion and enhances appearance.
SRP Series 11.75" x .810" Straight Vane Vented Rotors - Adds stopping power and cooling capacity over smaller diameter OE rotors. Premium grade, long grain carbon iron provides long wear with high thermal stability and resistance to distortion. Venting and cleaning action of the holes and slots reduce pad glaze, dissipate surface heat, and minimize irregular pad build-up on rotor faces. This results in smoother engagement with improved consistency and response at the pedal. Treated with silver zinc wash, these rotors resist corrosion.
Caliper Brackets and Hardware - Aluminum mount brackets with steel threaded bolt inserts are lightweight and stong. Each bracket is CNC machined for precise fit. Grade 8 or higher and AN style nuts, bolts studs, washers, and alignment shims are included in all applicable kits.
Note: Installation of Wilwood Disc Brakes may affect the wheel offset.
