I recently inherited a 2009 hatchback from a cousin who can no longer manage a manual transmission. I flew to Los Angeles to pick up the car (I had a different engine installed after hers "froze up" on her) and drove it back home to Nashville over a long weekend in November. I've made this drive a couple of times before, and I knew it would take me about three days. Between Albuquerque and Amarillo, I got stuck in a snow storm and my driver's-side windshield wiper decided to stop working. I was able to remedy the situation the next day, but that put me an entire day behind schedule - something my boss did not want to hear. I made it home safe and sound. I hope to write the full story with pictures (maybe this weekend), and I'll post a link to the story here.
