offset for 235/40/17's without rubbing on 17x7.5's?

hi, what offset do i need to run 235/40/17's without rubbing?

e.g. what offset and what wheels?

and also, is there an offset that won't make you cut anything or dremel anything with the 235's?

thanks for the time

You should send an email to Alex at the Tire Rack for info. I don't think you can do 245's at all.

i don't think 245's would look good on a 7.5 wide wheel.. i'd do 225/40/17 if you can find that size... if not 215/40

if you look at tire choices on tirerack for 245's it opens up quite a bit more than even 235's which are a lot compared against 225's and so on

and also the tire size is consistent with the stock tire size where the 225's are a bit off

I doubt you are going to be able to fit 245's or even 235's without some fender trimming (let alone if you are lowered at all). 225's even seem to rub for some peeps who run them. Of course the offset and whether or not you use spacers will affect fitment also. There are templates out there that can help you see what will fit.

Widths
215 = 8.5 in.
225 = 8.9 in.
235 = 9.3 in.
245 = 9.6 in.
