What's off set do you have? I think your rims more than 42ET.
You can find some info at Randy's site.
I saw some picts before. Try to find them.
Those picts show us shaved the rear arches.
Good luck!

I was actually asking because I have a set of 17x7's with a +38 offset and want to minimise the rubbing. I'm not excited with the idea of removing the liner completely. Was thinking of pulling it out, cutting out the offending bits of liner, and then re-gluing plastic to the liner to create a bit more room for movement while still protecting the inside of the body of the car...
I did find a thread about liners, but I can't see any of the images in the thread (I think it's my computer, not the fault of the url's).
Anyway..I'm dragging this OT - so if kalbone could PM me with his pics that would be sweet - or I could add to that old wheel well liner thread...
Carry on - the pics are sweet!
These are Breyton Wheels that make a lot of the custom wheels for BMW. They are 2 piece wheels with 225/35/18 Falken Tires. Excellent tire and wheels on the track at VIR that I am a member of. Check them out at the website below.

What color are your Ubers?
Uber Grey or Winter Black?

IDK but they actually look pretty sick. Looks to me as if they are of a low offset and 18s...
Anybody know what wheels these are? I tried searching but came up with nothing...
ha. my 18s are lighter than most 17s. and even with the extra rolling diameter i can still spin the tires through 3rd gear. 18s look awesome
Don't hate on 18s, they look sick thats for sure. And if you go with the right ones (read: light) they won't lower performance...
While I agree that they look p-shopped, there are SEVERAL wheels that you have not seen pics of on a MINI lol. So I wouldn't go based off just that... Eh oh well...

I'm agreeing with you lol. Just saying that there's a lot of wheels out there so I wouldn't go based off the fact that you haven't seen it before you get me... It does look photoshopped and looks like a wheel I've seen on Lambo's which is only 5-lug and wayyyy to wide for the MINI...
Looking for a little assistance. Been thinking about some new rims (et40), and I haven't got a definitive answer to what profile I should run. Currently I'm running 215/45/17's on H-sports, and don't want to ADD wheel gap as I go bigger. I used a tire calculator and found that if I run 35/18's I'll actually lose a significant amount of diameter, resulting in wheel gap similar to when I had 215/40/17's. Not terrible, but not practical if I'm gaining gap. The same calculator with a 215/40/18 shows only an increase of .1" over the 45/17's, which sounds good to me. I guess my questions are:
(1) does this sounds about right?
(2) how much stretch will 215's have on an 8" wheel?
Keep in mind I have a MC so the H-sport drop may be a little less than what it does to an MCS. I do already rub over large bumps, to the extent that some of the fender lining is worn down, thus making any dremmel work easier later.
I noticed a bunch of 18" and H-sport pics in this thread but the gap varied despite the same dimension tires, some ok, some not so much. Thanks in advance.
