ignorance and an idea that all wheels must be performance oriented (these were staggered, and the tires stretched....so many people had a problem with it )

eg 17x7 in the front and 17 x 9 on the rear wheels

this is mainly used on rear wheel drive cars like a 911 or viper, in the case of a fwd it would be just for looks and actually hurts dynamics, that is why people were talking smack to him. makes me sad when people don't appreciate different goals from there own

lol fj0 beat me to it by 60 seconds

that is actually a new styling trend in japan because the track cars started doing it....it definitely looks like it means buisness. I kinda like it, but prefer the other staggering better

i aren't speaking from experience but it kinda makes sense
less grip the rear -> better rotation
more grip in the front(powered) -> helps put bigger hp numbers down and turn-in

yah...although it is even being done on EVO's and STI's which are non-FWD. It's all about having a little less grip in back

That is an interesting thought to have wider wheels on the front. I think I will just keep it safe and go with the same size all around, however.

The wearing out the wheels quickly doesn't bother me too much. They would be primarily used for autocross.

Seems like I am not the only one in love with the C8 modulars as per MU.

not just the C8s...we share lots of similar wheel tastes. I almost bought a set of BBS RS's today

What's everyone's take on these? Same as the RS but no 3 piece to deal with. Also black centers avail.

it's a fake and looks it (when up close). I saw them at waterfest and they just look like cheap konigs

half of the "coolness" of bbs RS's if that they are so rare and require you to restore them to look good. Buying some cheap tuner wheels just doesnt do it for me in this case. And they arent even 3 piece (or 2 piece like the RM's).....meh
