Todd: Are the rear Wilwood calipers actually available? If so, can we see a picture? You know I'd get them simply to match my front calipers...
cheers,

Oh yeah, I'm still coming out. I wish the Wilwoods came in Red or silver, but oh well. I will give you a call later in the week so we can meet up. Maybe go to the Devil's South or North. What ever the better one is.

I've only installed Stop-Techs and they were chosen over the Wilwoods by the owner soley on appearance alone. I've looked at the TCE site and their stuff looks very nice. An installation of their rear kit may be in my future. IIRC, they offer a red powdercoating option for the Wilwood calipers.

FWIW, the Stop-Techs are very nicely made and the install was quite easy. Great instructions. One of the easier mods I've done. Even bleeding went much smoother than I had anticipated. Definitely easier than a suspension/spring install.

As far as I know...

cheers,
the rear kit uses stock calipers, as Willwood doesn't have a rear caliper with integrated rear parking brake. They offer a hybrid system for other cars that has a little drum brake inside for the parking brake, with a standard caliper for braking while driving. But I'm sure Todd will step in and correct me if I'm wrong.....

Best way to get a match with the stock calipers is to paint them to match....

I'm using StopTech BBK front and Ireland Engineering rear rotor kit. No balance issues. Great combo!

The Doc's right. The rear kit is a "rotor only upgrade" for the stock caliper. This retains the parking brake. In the works however are some things that may also be available in the near future; a new parking brake caliper from Wilwood (been in design for way too long...) and a four pot rear that I may offer for those who accept the removal of the parking brake.

And please note that the Wilwood DP calipers on the smaller kits ARE avaialable in red for some time now as well as the larger FSL calipers done 'in house' in any color you wish. Pricing changes are on the web page.

TODD: If I don't engage my parking brake...My car rolls while in gear... I came out one day from the dealership and my car was in the middle of the street. It's been like that from day one. Dealer said it's normal but I call the B.S. flag on that one. Cars out of warranty now anyways.

That's funny. That's what I thought. BUT, I just hit 60K miles and it's still goin' strong! The problem was there ever since I bought the car 60K miles ago. It'll look great! People will admire it while they drive AROUND it!

I went for the JCWs... Although in hindsight I should have gone for the Wilwoods... the JCWs were cheaper at the time... now I think they're the same price as the Wilwoods, if not more expensive...
