Has anyone ever chromed their R90s or R90 repros for that matter? I have been thinking about it and am fishing for ideas. I am really interested in the repros on eBay all the time, but really want a chrome or polished finish.

Any ideas? Any other wheels that look similar that have the finishes I am looking for?

For chrome finish you can work with the R90s but it can be expensive and does make a heavy rim heavier by about 2 pounds more per rim. Chrome plating doesn't always stand up and if not taken care of can corrode and chip off after about one year.

If you look at chrome finish wheels at Tirerack.com for the MINI you get:

ASA JH6 17x7" $295 each

ASA AR1 17x7 $279 each
There are more but these are classic for the MINI

Yeah after posting htis I went over to TireRack and saw those AR1s and they are pretty close to the R90s so I think I've found the rims I'm looking for.
