Aftermarket Hub-Centric Rims?

Besides those limited Rotas, are there any other hub-centric aftermarket rims you know about?

I'm not so sold on the look of the slipstreams.. they're pupose built and good for the price/weight, but not sure about an everyday wheel as far as looks...

hub centric shmub centric

if you search, you'll find a thread debating whether there really is a need for a hub centric locator IF you have tapered head bolts or studs; the shear load is carried by the bolts, not by the hub ring. the stock mini s light wheels have ~1/16" or so gap bewteen the hub hole and the hub. it's as if it's there just to get you close to having the bolt holes lined up.

I'd just rather not use a seperate ring if possible, I know it's widely accepted, but just one more thing to deal with, and one more thing to rust onto the hub.. It's kind of a mental/obsessive thing, I'd rather not analyze.

NOW, to flyboys point.. going to a stud conversion, does that aid in centering the wheel on the hub?

It would be the same as bolts. Studs just make getting the wheels on and off easier. If the nuts were tapered into the wheel (like BMW bolts), then slowly (and evenly) torquing them down should force the wheel to align to the center.
