Will the Cooper spare fit the S w/perf pkg

I've got an 04 MCS and I'm thinking of replacing the run flats and getting the little donut spare that comes with the Cooper (non-S) and carrying it around in the bag from the bag lady. But, a local tire store said that their "book" says that the Cooper S with the performance package has larger brakes and the 15" tires won't fit - and the donut spare is 15". Anyone know for sure if this donut will fit?

Thanks

yes it will fit

i did the same as you plan, and the spare fits, and the bag lady works nicely, and fits behind the passenger seat...

The local tire store is wrong! Only the '06s with the factory JCW package, which include the JCW big brake kit, use different brakes than the standard MINI Cooper.

So you will have no problems with fitting the doughnut.

I was told that the Cooper and the Cooper S have the exact same brakes.

That is correct until you get to the JCW brake upgrade. They use a slightly larger rotor and different calipers.
