I can't really explain why it didn't fit. The hat design was Mini-specific, so I know Stoptech included the right hat. The Caliper fit perfectly on the rotor, so I know they included the right caliper bracket.

Maybe I've got a super-duper extra thick coat of paint on my calipers?

How much clearance do you have Strom? The spoke was just BARELY contacting the caliper when I had one lug in and finger tight. All four lugs torqued and I don't think the wheel would turn (didn't try because I didn't want to damage the caliper lacquer), not to mention caliper growth during extreme heat cycles .

Do you guys think the Stoptechs will clear Advan RG II that MSFIT have? The can clear the Brembos with no spacers. Btw, nice wheels again MSFIT!

Aren't the brembos larger than the stoptechs?

I can take some pictures today, but I'd estimate 2 mm of clearance with my Stoptech/5mm spacer/Superleggera combo.

The more pressing problem is spoke clearance, not diameter.

I had both templates from stoptech and brembos and stoptech's calipers are a bit thicker by a couple milimeters.

Stoptech is thicker on the side or thicker in diameter? Thanks!

Advan RG II with StopTech Kit

The RG2's will not clear - 17x7.5 +41 4x100 (mid disk)

You will need at least a 10mm spacer.

A Volk 2 piece wheel that has a HIGH disk option like GTC, GT7, GTV, GTN will have a better chance of clearing.

don't recall correctly but the stoptech needed extra spacers to clear the wheel spokes compared to a brembo.. maybe 2-3mm

Here are the templates:

BREMBO(DINAN): http://www.dinancars.com/filepreview..._Templates.pdf

Installed the GT7s today. They fit with tons of room to spare. REAL pretty too.

Now I just have to trim the fenders a bit to make room for the 225/40/18 Dunlop SSR R comps that I wrapped the GT7s in. Or maybe I'll just let the tires do the work and rub em down to their required clearance. When the fenders only cost $16 at the dealer, who really gives a *****???

Here's a picture of the clearance I have with Stoptechs/Superleggeras/5mm Spacers. It's about 2-3mm.

I have 17" SSR GT7 and StopTechs (no spacers), but curious if anyone has Gram Lites (17") - I need a second set of track wheels.

OR, how do the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1 with a 2mm less offset look?

UKSUV, there is a template on StopTechs website that will help you figure that out. However, you need the wheel to really use the template

can someone confirm that the ADVAN RGII's WON"T fit with Stoptechs?
they look like they would fit...the spoke is exhaggerated enough, but i'd like confirmation from someone who has a set/Stoptechs.

Time to revive 4 year old thread..

Looks like it is hard to find Team Dynamics Pro Race 1 wheels. Will the stoptech BBK clear their other models, like 1.2 or 2? This is for R56 Cooper S, if that makes a difference.

Wheels that fit Stoptech BBK

Hello. I just installed the Stoptech BBK on my 2009 JCW. I have OEM Challenger R112's and had to use 15mm spacers. Cosmetically they look better than the JCW Brembo Calipers (In my opinion), and you can't beat the 2 piece 328mm rotors vice the OEM 316mm. I'll post pics later and give an honest opinion once kit is broken in. I don't track my Cooper, just ran into a kit at a good price and could'nt let it go. Thanks. Frank

Nice. Congrats on the kit. I do track the MINI and they hold their ground at the track all day long with no or minimal fade. I ha to use 12mm spacers on my stock wheels and use 10mm spacers on my volks right now. Get some light weight wheels and you'll definitely feel the advantage of the kit through your steering wheel.

What color is your kit? I had mine custom painted white, but they have to be refinished because my old CCW rubbed on them even with 12mm spacers. Hence why theyre gone now. Again, congrats and enjoy the kit!
