While old bias plied tires (the grandfather's of today modern tires) had driectional memory. Today's modern radials (banded at 90 degrees) combined with more sophisticated construction components ( less complete nylon construction)

When non directional favor well and wear most evenly when rotating side to side. Directionals must be dismounted to do this - and still maintain the correct rolling direction.

In simple form - if able to rotate side to side, do it.

Just thought I'd ask one more time. Does anyone know the "magic" alignment settings that eliminate the rear tire scallop?
