well its been a long time since i've seen this thread!!
it doesnt l00k like it will happen then huh?
have u gotten any interests on other forums?
Doesn't look to good right now, but who knows. I bought some other wheels for now to get by
There have been quite a few posts from people expressing interest, but no one except me has contacted the company or even posted their interest or wishes to include size, width, offset, etc. here There have been over 150 views, but no additional posts
They'll make what ever size we want, but we have to let them know. We can't ask for much more than that.
what is the bolt pattern on the elise?
would the 17x8 for the elise fit the mini?
You could bolt them up, but they'd stick out too far.
The Elise/Exige has a 4x100 bolt patern and 56.6 center bore - perfect for a MINI. However, the offset for the rear (17") wheels is +18.
I looked into the 17x7.5 Lotus lightweight forged wheels, but they just don't have enough positive offset. Pretty expensive, too. Around $500 per wheel, iirc.
5 - 10 interested buyers and they make them. Specs (size, width and diameter as well as offset) will be determined by the wishes of the buyers. Price would be less than 4k per set, more people, the lower the price.
Here they are on a M3 ...
I'm sure they are awesome wheels but they don't look expensive at all, moreover they don't look right on an M3. Also, you would have to be a wheel enthusiast to know these wheels cost big bucks.
Now with MINIs, this wheel may look pretty good but I still wouldn't buy em, there are too many good looking wheels out there for cheaper price.
BBS makes/made some really cool wheels, but they seem to be dropping them and the replacements aren't as interesting. Plus, they seem to reserve most of the good stuff for the five-lug rear drivers.
