Not exactly sure where to post this, thought this might be the most appropriate place.

Early december I ordered from Alta several bits for my MC: the short antenna, 15mm wheel spacers with bolts and their lowering springs. I received extraordinary and speedy service to New Zealand. Thanks Alta! The only problem was that the antenna had not been packed in the parcel and I am still waiting for it (not a problem though).

Since then, I delivered all the other bits to my local service center for installation. They were happy to do it. To have the spacers and sprongs installed cost me about US$150 (6 hours work and including realignment). The result looks awesome!

Now, I am not entirely sure if they made a mistake installing the bits (I doubt it), but we have come across a problem we have not entirely solved yet. We noticed rubbing marks on the outside of all tires, front and back, and discovered that the wheelguards were rubbing slightly if you were either driving with a heavy load (4 persons) or were cornering hard. I have the standard 16" 5 star aloys. To reduce this problem for the rear tyres I had to remove the small splash gards. Have done this today and will let you know if it has made a difference. I am slightly annoyed about this problem as I have so far not read any other complaints with a similar problem. The Alta springs are supposedly only reducing the height by 1", so I never expected this to happen. It probably wouldn't have happened either, had I not installed the 15mm wheelspacers as well. I guess one solution would be to trim the spacers back by 5mm or so, but I wonder if K&N have not made specifically 15mm spacers because they thought it would work. I know that the German TUV is very particular about any aftermarket equipment and I am sure that they would not have approved it had it not been save. Another thought is a wider wheelguards maybe, but where can I get those?

I'd appreciate any thoughts any comments on this.
