The title says it all. More specifically, can you use the 16x6.5" SSR competitions with the JCW brakes, or do I need to go to a 7" (or even 7.5") size. I want to stay with 16" rims if at all possible (terrible roads around here and I think the 16's are the performance tradeoff I am looking for).

I am looking at the 2006 JCW factory package which includes the brakes (not part of my original plan, but the overall price compared to 2005 is like getting the brakes for free).

Alex: a bit off-topic, but you could answer this while you're here. When Mini Cooper is selected at the TireRack website, why aren't 15" wheels listed (only 16" and larger)? The 15x6.5 SSR is only 8.8 lbs!

 

If you select the standard MINI Cooper you get the 15" option. If you select the Cooper S you don't

 

Thanks Alex - I'll be ordering the SSR's and tires from you when I get around to it (small matter of taking delivery of a vehicle first). I have had good references for TireRack even outside of NAM.
