Runflats on aftermarket rims???

Hi all,

Anyone is running factory runflats on aftermarket rims??? I was told (of course by my dealer) that runflats need special kind of rims. There might be a possibility that it would leak...

Please let me know....

Cheers,

Ron

I think you can use stock MINI runflat tires on aftermarket rims of appropriate size to stock rims. 16x6.5" and 17x7".

Work with a shop that can handle the runflats- not all do. Don't damage the rims in the process.

You can confirm this with an email or call to Alex@tirerack.com

I've got them on my 17" Fliks. No issues.

For what it's worth, I've got 16" Panasports on my MCS and was told that they would NOT accept runflats.

I'm also running factory 17" runflats on my 17" Flik Wasps. No problems so far.

Got my BBS RK with runflats and I seems OK, only draw is that I have two that are not matching meaning I can't put these two in the front or I get steering wobble. I need to take it balanced again? Came directly from Tire Rack.

How can you tell when the Dealers lies? His lips move. Tires will work on correct size of rim.
