imho, you shouldn't buy wheels that are no longer available because

you might end up bending one and need replacements. It only takes a
unlucky split second to bend your wheels on a pothole.

I agree. I bought some PES Grand Prix's for my Golf, and bent the lip of one of them on the freeway. I called PES to buy a new rim and they said that they were out of stock...wouldn't have them in for a little bit. I waited a couple months and called back. I was told the place that manufactures them in Europe was lagging and they didn't know when they'd be done. I called back a few months later and they said they still weren't ready and didn't know when they'd be in. I really got into it with the guy on the phone and he was a total *****. He kept ducking questions and wouldn't even give me an ETA. I was like "What 6 months?" He said "I don't know." I told him that this was a pretty $hi!+y thing to do to a customer. He didn't seem to care.

Luckily, it was just a lip bend, so I could get it fixed. I never did...sold the car a couple months back, but it has taught me a lesson to only buy aftermarket products that are in good circulation. Buying from a company that has multiple distributors/outlets is also a good idea in case the place you bought it from decides to stop carrying it or goes out of business.

Well the way the guy at wheelmax made it sound as if he didnt feel like ordering anymore to carry them in his stock. Wasnt for sure on if the factory was still making them or not.
