What is the shelf life of new TPMS sensors?

I tried using aftermarket tpms in my winter tires but the shop wasn't able to program one of them. (2023 Clubbie, their programming doesn't go that new. Somehow they got one programmed pretending the car was a 22.) After several trips back and forth to the garage, I'm breaking down and buying a four pack OEM sensors (found a deal on 4.)

I only need one of them right now. Do the new uninstalled sensors lose a lot battery charge sitting on the shelf? I know I'll need the other three at some point, as I drive a lot of miles and have two sets of OEM rims.

Thanks!

OEM seem to go about 5-6 years, your longevity may vary...

Cheers,
