Can someone tell me the age of this tire? Forgot I had 4 of them buried in the garage! Ok to use them?

That information plus other information that I have seen indicates the date should be a four digit number. The first two digits are the month it was made, the last two digits are the year that it was made (post 2000). My tire only has three numbers and that is why I am confused.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page for the tires-easy.com link provided you will find this paragraph;

What is a 3-digit DOT Date Code?

Bottom Line - those tires were made in 1998

To answer your question, no, it's not advisable to use them unless they would be on a "show only" vehicle that would be trailered to an event. If you were to sell them to someone, get a signed "hold harmless" statement from them.

Agreed with others - way too risky to use these.
