New Member, Exel wheels, are they any good?

Hey guys, first off, I'm new here, although I've been lurking in these forums for months! I have an 05 cooper S Blk/Blk, with Chrome grill and mirrors. I am ready to part with the Super-Heavy S-lites, and junky run-flats! Anyway, I was checking out RYPHILES Exel wheels, and then I found this WheelMax place that sells them. I like a few of their wheels, the TZ10's, the E2,s, etc. I can't find how much any of them weigh, and have heard they don't come with hubcentric rings. So are these wheels any good, and how hard would it be to find the specific hubcentric rings I would need for our Mini's? Also, if DRKSILVERMINI is out there, how are your E2's working out, and did you get those hubcentric rings? Thanks guys, and I really appreciate your seasoned feedback! Peace, my MINI brothers and sisters!

gavin7777,
Exel wheels are good. PM Ryan to get more info, I know he is satisfied with them.
Some wheel sources will provide the correct centering rings when you purchase the wheels. The company that makes the wheels usually has a site and will show what size rings are needed. The MINI's hub is 56.1mm but the aftermarket wheels vary some in the sizes they take.

I know that when I have bought from tirerack they have included the correct centering rings which can come plastic or metal. If the wheel is designed for hub centric rings then you should use them.

For hub centric rings if you know the size you can purchase them from tirerack or

I've beat the F out of all three sets of my Exel wheels; they've stood the test of track, time, and my scrutiny. Most of their designs are reasonably light too. gavin; I sent you a PM.

Cheers,
Ryan

Gavin,

I love the wheels on my car. No they didnt come with the hub centric rings I had to buy them seperate. I have to order another set due to an accident i was in last friday. Deffenately a good wheel to buy for your mini. Cleaning them is a little bit of a pain but if you keep up on them its not that bad. And when they are clean they look real good . And I have cornered hard on these wheels also and they handle good.

I just got a set of 18x7.5 (215/35/18) EXEL TZ-10 (white) on Hankook's. SORRY RYEPHILE!!! Wheelmax was having a sale for 959.00 out the door. WIFE BOUGHT THEM. They screwed up the order and put lug nuts instead of lug bolts. So I had to wait a couple more days. Impressions: FVCKING SWEEEEET. BUT, 1- they get dirty quick 2-the key to tighten the lugs down is about the same diameter as the hole and tore up the paint inside the holes. 3- I have wheel vibration. Not much but annoying. I bought hubcentric rings from www.discounttiredirect.com . I smacked a curb a couple days ago with my old rims, tires/rims might not have been balanced right from wheelmax, and I do need an alignment. I KNOW I DON'T HAVE A BENT RIM. I LOVE MY RIMS!!!!!!!!!!!
