Are there Mini Cooper rims for 205/55 R16?

I'm new to Mini's. Just buying a new electric one. Tire size is 205/45 R17, but I also had the choice of 195/55 R16.

From a previous car (Mazda 3), I own 4 great studded snows in 205/55 R16. 1) Are there MC rims to fit those tires? 2) Will those tires work with my car?

They should work, right? There should be plenty of height to accommodate, and the width isn't a problem. If I can only find rims, or will any MC pattern 205s work?

You can run those tires on a stock 16 inch rim since it's probably 6.5 inches wide. Your speedometer and odometer will just be a little bit off from the slight height difference.

Thanks for the reply! I thought there would be plenty of room, since there is room for a 17 inch tire (all season), there should be room from a 16 inch with a slightly large wall.

While you actually could use 205/55 R16 size on either stock 16" wheels or aftermarket 16" wheels,
your reasoning isn't exactly correct. Actually even a 195/55 R16 tire is taller compared to 205/45 R17
and 205/55 R16 is even taller. So beware to use either stock 16" wheels or aftermarket 16" wheels
that while being 16x7 size it should be close in offset (ET) to stock as possible. For example ET45 to
ET50 should be fine. There are plenty available.
