17x8.5" help

I am looking at a set of 17x8.5" wheels and need some help. What offset to use with stock suspension and no rubbing? Looking at either a 225 width tire, 215 if I have to for clearance. Any input is appreciated.

8.5 is more agressive than I can help with fitting.

Regrets

Thank's Alex. I may end up going more conservative with a 7-7.5". Found a good deal on some wheels but without knowing for sure they fit I will more than likely pass. 8.5" is a lot of wheel for such a small light car. I am currently running a 8.5" on my STi but it is way heavier and AWD.

MM05,
If these are the same ones I saw, they are 35mm offset!
