Looking for wheels

I'm looking for a light/ultra-light weight wheel for my Cooper S. Something in the 13-15 lbs range ideally; maybe a little heavier, depending on width.

I want to stick with a 17" wheel. I don't know how wide I can go, although I've heard rumors of 8.5" and 9" wheels up front without rubbing. I want to keep all corners the same size, so I can rotate front to back.

How wide can I go on 17s?... Safely? With what offset?

SSR Comp-H, Motegi TrakLites, Kosei K1 TS... Any'll do, but I can't find a fit any larger than 7.5".

Help?!

You could probably get an 8" front and back with the right offset, which would need to be 37-39mm. Unless you're running stretched tires, anything at or over 225 width will need at least some fenderwell trimming.

I tend to run the side of caution, FYI
