Anyone here had bent SSR Comps?
Ther are a number of companies that straighten bent wheels, Wheel America is one, I've used the companies in the past (don't recall which ones) , successfully, and they charged about $100.00 per wheel, don't know what the going rate is. Many are listed in publications like Road and Track, Car and Driver and Autoweek.
Since I don't have a spare set of wheels/tires anymore, I went ahead and ordered one more SSR wheel and one more pirelli tire. My plan is to put the old tire on the new wheel, new tire on the old wheel, keep it as a spare, and chuck it into the back if I go on long trips (i.e. NY to Boston)
I've got 17000 miles on my tires right now and I'm thinking they should last me another 10k-15k........hopefully more.
I'll check out car & driver on the web and see if they have any links there for repair.....

I used Wheel Worx in MD to fix two bent Volks.. I think price was $125 each and I opted not to have them refinished..
6 months later, I bent them again, even worse, so just replaced them..
Wheels, once they are bent and fixed, never have the same strength..
