I am looking to get a winter setup for my 2017 Mini Cooper S Clubman All4. I really would like tires with more rubber between the road and wheel, as I live in a very rural area with bad roads. The Stock tires are 225/45R17 and wheels are 5x112 (7.5 x17) bolt pattern.

I found someone that may want to part with their Mini Wheels that are from a Mini Hard Top with the same Bolt Pattern of 5x112 and are 6.5J x 16 +54 ET.

Can I use these 16" Mini Wheels on my Clubman with the manual's recommended tire size of 195/60R16?

Or do you recommend any other tire sizes on these 16" Wheels/Rims?

 

You better check, but I am not sure the S can accept 16in wheels in the front because of caliper / brake size limitations

I agree with the narrower tire logic for winter, but we don't have any 16" wheels to fit the S version.
