Deciding between tires for daily driver

Soliciting opinions on tires for my daily driver. I have been running Hankook Ventus Evo V2's for the last 2 sets. They're nice, but tread life leaves much to be desired. I'm currently looking at 2 tires, Yokohama S Drive and BFGoodrich G Force Comp 2. I'm sticking with 17" and prefer to get my tires through Discount Tire since they're local and I've always had great luck with them. I live in N Fla, so a mix of hot and wet road conditions. No track time planned. Anyone have experience with either of these tires?

BFG Comp 2 is a much better summer tire than the Yoko S Drive.
They're both a little on the heavy and stiff side for their category,
but you'll get better dry and wet performance from the BFGs.
I have the BFG's on my wife's VW 2001 Cabrio now.
Check out the survey ratings on Tirerack.

Is the Dunlop Direzza DZ102 worth considering also?

It's marginally lighter, more comfortable, wears a little longer,
and performs similar to the Yoko S Drive, so I would put it at #2
of the 3 discussed.

I stayed with the Hankook Ventus Evo V12 because they are such a good deal with the rebate. Had the Yokes , burned up to fast. Dunlop Direzza nice, but did not last either and were more money.

You just missed the rebate deal they had at Discount on the BFG. I ended up paying 310 for the set. I went with the 215/45-17 but I haven't driven on them yet, waiting for the snow to melt.

The BFG is a great choice. My personal recommendation for tires in this size for the best handling vs price would be the Sumtomo HTR ZIII. They actually produce Dunlop's extreme performance tires for them, the Direzza ZII star spec, as an example.
