I recently had a bad expereince with my Konig Tantrum 2 wheels. I was forced off the road and bent one, only to find out that even though not bent severely, it was unfixable.

I sent the wheel off to the wheel collision center, which has excellent service btw, but they said because of the wheels construction with a rolled lip, that there was no way to straighten it. Fortunatly, they were able to find a new replacement wheel for me.

Has anyone else had like experiences with after market wheels? I'm trying to figure out which brands/styles to stay away from in the future.

 

Konig wheels are pretty low quality, that's why they're so cheap. The good news is, even if it could have been repaired, getting a brand new wheel would've most probably been cheaper.

 

I know someone who has non-stop problems with his Koenigs. Of course, they are 18", that could be a factor.

Also has problems with Koenigs on another car of his, also with a lower profile tire than stock.

 

had Konigs on my Sentra. within a year i had bent 2. they were 16s with 205/45s. granted Jersey doesn't have the best roads but believe me these were not the biggest potholes i've seen or hit b4. the MINI has taken some big hits and have yet to bend a rim. (i know its coming though )
