Hi, looking for a little advice. I bought an 07 MCS that has been modded with the cooper s ground effects lowered with HR springs and sitting on 18x8 wheels with 215x35x18 tires. Car looks cool and gets alot of looks and complimants. Problem Scrapes at every driveway feels like your bottomed out on minor dips in the road tires make noise and are cupped. Anyway I only want to attack this a little at a time. I am planning on replacing the springs with something that isnt so low. And then possiblly different wheels unless I can change the aspect ratio on the tires. I have seen that these are common modds but its just to harsh even for around town. I dont think the shocks and struts are really working it feels like it hits the bump stop. Any advice for some springs that dont lower a MCS more than an inch.

Now i cant speak for everyone but i have a 07 MCS myself and i was noticing a lot of the same issues. my car is also lowered with HR springs. For me the solution was different rims and tires. i got 17 instead of 18 and my ride quality got way better.

Im thinking of 17s. Im wondering if it will help to put in better shocks and struts, since the rebound is bad as well as jounce.

Well i can tell you that having aftermarket springs does make the ride quality more harsh so i can only imagine puting the stock parts back in will make it ride smother. I have also heard of people using a better strut when they lower their cars. maybe try the Koni Yellow's

Yes that appears to be the better choice. Thanks
