Has anyone tried this size on and who make this in max performance?

I think Nitto NT555's are the only ones that are in that size which are
readily available. ..but be warned that NT555's are only a slight
improvement of their older NT501 "extreme performance" tires.

I had them on my previous car and they look great and all, but
the break point is so unpredictable it was scary. Don't plan on
driving those in the canyons, that's for sure!!

One step at a time, Sid. 215/40-17 is the next step in width. Theoretically, a 225/40-17 is a bit too tall, and I know you don't want your MINI to get an inadvertent "lift-kit" option

215/40-17 | 23.77in (603.8mm) comes out nearly half inch shorter and is great for acceleration but too low for me
