Bent rim...now what?

Hi all,

I recently just got my new tires put on and the people at Discount Tire showed me my rim was bent slightly which I saw and I was completely shocked. I have never had an issue like this with any car. I'm kinda mad because I really wanted to start doing suspension work on my car but now I don't know what to do(obviously get new rims is in the picture). But I was wondering because they said it's okay to ride on them for another 30 days but I should buy new one's they said. I need help because I'm not a genius when it comes to rims so basically can I get the rim fixed or do I have to buy new one's? I've already started shopping around for some semi-gloss black one's. Thank for any advice I may receive.

-Rob

If it is not too bent, it can be fixed. After that, it is only good for street use.

Otherwise, try eBay or nam marketplace to look for a replacement.

Last, you could replace all 4 and sell the remaining three.

I'd just search for a local rim repair shop. They are usually mobile and will charge somewhere from $75 to $150 to fix the rim and any curb rash you may have. Certainly cheaper than a new wheel.

how many are bent?

if it's just 1 and you are not comfortable with having it repaired, you could buy just 1 rim from mini, shop around the online dealers and ask your local dealer for a discount, my local dealer gives me a good discount

my R126 18" turbofans list at $414, best online prices i've seen Sewell $366 + frt, ecs tuning, $314 +frt, my local dealer $312 +tax, no frt

Googled this, hope it helps. I had a bent and distorted wheel repaird a couple of years ago and it came out perfect. (Not this shop but close to where I live)
