Just got these for my Clubman S. Using 215x45x18 Toyo's and will be using 12mm spacers. Stock ride height for now.

Awesome Clubman!

Great wheel choice. I've got some used R95s that are getting refinished right now. I'll be installing them on my R52 as soon as they are ready.

I really like the looks of the wheel and I looked at a lot of wheels...just thought the original JCW wheels looked great. I almost bought a set of real MiniLites although I could only get them in 16" and I wanted 18".
Here is a picture of the Mini with the 12mm spacers and longer studs...the tires now come to the edge of wheel moldings and it looks great...IMHO

Looks good those R95's are some super rare Gen 1 JCW wheels from back in the day. Was the largest OEM MINI wheel at that time.

It was recommended by a Mini mechanic to get and install the steering retro-fit kit to keep the tires from hitting the front subframe...after buying the kit I decided to use 12mm spacers instead...the 215/45's didn't help either as I wanted to have a taller sidewall that was close to the 16's I took off as the Mini is a fantastic road car...have driven from Oregon to Phoenix several times and it is the most comfortable road car in my stable...not to mention the car with the lowest original miles...7,155. It is a garage queen during our long rainy and wet winters.

Sure looks nice and mean with the 18's.
Is your car lowered or stock ride height?

Lowered on NM Springs. Immediately started looking for coilovers because the lower profile tires kind of accentuated the remaining wheel gap which I was weirdly fine with on the 17s.

When I was looking at tires I didn't want to sacrifice sidewall height and get a harsh ride as your 35's side wall is about 3/4" less than my 45's...I'm 70+ years old and still want to drive 200/300 miles at a stretch without discomfort on this old body. The other issue is your 215/35's are about 1-3/4" less tire height than mine with the same cross sectional width. I'd love to lower the car although not much so coilovers may be in my future.
Your car does look killer though!

Thank you and to be honest the coilovers are going to be harsher most likely unless you go fully adjustable and soften them. The NMs are great and together with these Toyos give the car a MUCH better ride over the horrible runflats that were on there before.

I can already say that the ride is night and day better than the 16" runflats.
When I raced SCCA both cars had fully adjustable coilovers and although they are expensive you have so much more control with various settings and also with springs...we'll drive this way through the summer and see how much rubber is left on the 240 Toyo's, then go from there. This little car is a real hoot to drive and so comfortable on longer trips. Now if I can get the rear end to follow the front on some of those twisty mountain roads I'll be a happy camper!

I'll have to lower mine just a little, certainly no more than 1/2" to 3/4".
After installing the 12mm spacers the 215/45/18's no longer rub the frame and the ride on the Proxes is much better than the run flats.

Twinsies. I'd like to bring mine down a little. But OMG these have brought some much fun to driving this car. I lost over 10 lbs each corner.

We both have 6ul's 15x8 et36. I have 8mm spacers up front with 5mm in the back. My tires are toyo R1r's 205/50.

Nice! Looks like they fit the R53 way better. And I agree, losing all that weight made a HUGE difference. The wheel/tire setup has been the most noticeable improvement for this car by far.

Thanks! They're 949 6UL's. Mine are 15x8 et36, 11.6 lbs. each. Tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE71R 205/50/15.

The only crappy part about them is having to use a 15mm spacer in the back to get them to fit properly.

Wow!
Looks really nice. How much did you lower the car or is it stock ride height with the 15's.
