Folks,

I'm embarking on the oddball course of running an asymmetrical setup for best autocross performance. 15x8 out front and 15x7 in back. Speculative, right?

So the question is - will a PF01 @ 15x8 +35 clear with a 225/45-15 RS3?

And the real question is, to Alex at TireRack, and I thought that I knew the answer, this: "when it doesn't fit I'm on E-Bay with the rims, right?".

Nope.

And this is cool, and also smart.

If I treat the test rim right, and send it back, Tire Rack will make me whole. So the risk to me is shipping at worst.

Perhaps I have low expectations, and maybe I'm a cynic, but that announcement made me smile.

One of several reasons why I appreciate Alex.

Mind you, I think the rim will work...

Kind regards,

Charlie

I am curious as well on the fitment of the PF01 in a 15x8...it seems that the offset and size should work...

Please keep us posted...

I've had good luck with 15x8 (+36) up front, without spacers, as long as you aren't extremely low I'd guess you will be in good shape!
I'm a big fan running smaller wheels/tires in the rear. I really enjoyed the 15x9 (275 width) / 15x8 (205 width) setup I ran last year. Since I've given up on R-tires this year, I'm working on a similar setup using the 225 Hankook RS3's on 15x9 up front and 205 Star Specs on 15x7's out back.

Fits.

~6 mm from inner sidewall to shock body - using a worn Hankook RS3 225/45-15 for the measurement.

close enough,

Charlie
