Really.....really.... did you not read anything about tires prior to purchasing them. Almost every single tire company will tell you the same thing, break in period is typically 500 miles. So driving from a tire shop and expecting them to perform at peak performance is unrealistic and dangerous. So give those tires around 1500 miles and then rerate them.

I know this is an older thread but....

Were/are the Nitto's directional? And if so would having one or more of them mounted backwards cause this?

Just a thought as I ponder snows for our Clubman.

No, it would not. The direction of the tread pattern only matters in terms of wet traction. It definitely would not change perceived sidewall stiffness.
