Tire Replacement in Philly area - HELP!

This is my first post here and I hope someone can help.

Well, I have a 2007 MCS with Continental 195/55R16 87V tires and 2 of them are wearing out and they need to be replaced. I had flat tires before and I always went to the dealer but now, I would like to know other options because the dealer is a getting too expensive. I think I'll stick with run flat tire because from my past experience, I was glad that I have RFT.

My question is, besides going to the dealer, where can I go? I read somewhere online that for run flat tire, the shop must be RFT certified, is this true? There's a Firestone near me that is RFT certified but they only have Bridgestone tires for my car. Does anyone have any recommendation on which tire I should get and where to go in the philly area? Is it better to have all 4 tires the same brand?

Any comment will be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Welcome to NAM Afoken,

TireRack can supply you with tires, and we are normally 1 business day to Philly with UPS ground.

Here is your Continental Pro Contact SSR

We have got plenty of installers in the Philly area, just use your zip code to locate the closest one. We can even ship your tires right to the installer. You can see on the list if the installer services run-flats, and the cost for install.

I'd suggest a pair of the Pro Contacts, to match what you have.
I also suggest putting the newest ones in the back.

If you'd like to place and order, give me a call. (see signature.) You can also order right of the links above as well!

Alex

Yes, you want all 4 tires to match.

No specific tire recommendations, too many options and opinions, just a can of worms to get into that discussion.

You should consider tire rotations every 5-7K miles. Having two tires worn, indicates you probably have not been rotating.

While any tire shop can handle tire installations, I chose to go to the dealer (with my own tires) as they have been exceptionally carefull with my rims.

As others pointed out, we do have some excellent independent shops in the area that can also help out, including VAC, Bimmerworks, and Helix MINISport.
