My new Hankook Ventus V12 tires

Since it was time to change the run-flats I read up the various comments on this site, concerning the results of using non-run flats. Well I must say you guys are right about less noise and a smoother ride. What can I say. It's makes the mini a much better car. Actually I think the run flats give the mini a bad reputation for being noisy and rough riding.

I went with the 205 55 16 size.

I've stated in many tire threads that your first mod should be ditching those run flats. I chose the same tires for my R53; they should be on the car in a few days. The right shoes make all the difference! Happy motoring on your non RF's.

I put the V12's on my clubman and they grip much better than my old Nitto's. They are Dragon tested and approved!!

I love my runflats. but I guess I am in the minority. I was looking at getting some new tires for my other car, and came across the "funky" tires from Vredestein called the Sessanta. Google it for some interesting rubber.

Oh but we need minorities. Who would we have to argue with if no one liked run flats?

you're right. There must be some reason they put them on our cars...

I have runflats on my 05 MCS now, but they still have a lot of rubber on them. I will change them to non-runflats when they wear out. I have 17" wheels for summer fun (205/45 17). What have you guys been finding as good replacements that don't cost an arm and a leg? I have 16" I use for winter so I don't need an all season, but probably something in a touring tire. Whatdoyathink?
