Just replaced Bridgestone RFTs with EvoS and am very pleased. As said I find that they are quiet and provide good traction. With the $60 rebate and free shipping make them an excellent deal. They look good .

Has anyone here tried both he Hankook Ventus V12's and the Yokohama S Drives? I've only run the Hankooks but from what I hear from those who have run both, the Hankooks are the better tire. And pretty much the same price.

Test results give Hankook a higher rating

The test results give the Hankook V 12 a higher rating than the Yokohama.

Also, the Hankook V 12 is quieter tire !

Thats why I have the Hankook V 12 tires on my Mini S

I'd have to agree. I've never run the Hancooks, but I have run the S Drives (on an 06 Miata), and my experience was similar. We don't have winter here, but I'd have no problem buying them again.

My last set I got on clearance at TireRack for like $72/tire. Couldn't beat that with a stick.

Yes, I had them back-to-back. I can say the V12's were better than the S Drives!

S Drives

Ran the s drives for 22000 in a 215/40-17 size with no issues. I tracked the car 3 times with this set and they wore evenly with pressure in the 38-42 psi range. I just bought a new set of s drives but in 205/45-17 and I can tell the difference in harshness and noise, almost too quiet. I probably will not be tracking the car as much so i decided to go for long wear and bought the OEM size. Also mounting and balancing machines make a big difference. I had the tires balanced on a Hunter GSP9700 and it's a pretty neat balancer. This machine applies a roller to seat the bead and then determine if there are any issues with the roundness of the tire. I'll never go to any of the tire kingdom/plus/choice retailers ever again.
