TPMS Question

I am looking to buy aftermarket wheels and I was wondering will my stock TPMS fit the aftermarket wheels. The aftermarket wheels will fit TPMS.

Thanks
Jeff

I'm not sure on the mini's exactly but most are just sensors held on a metal "clamp". So to use stock ones you have to remove them from stock rims and have the tire shop install them.

I know the new tpms are really expensive (they switched frequencies) but the old ones can be had for fairly cheap as they are a universal part.

What year is the car, there is the older style band clamp, the newer style that is a part of the schrader valve and then the frequency of those changed on 2010 models I do believe.

And up to the middle of the 07 run, the TPMS used no sensors at all, so no problem if your car is an earlier build. My 07 S has the old style system with no sensors. The cars on the truck it arrived on were split, some new some old . . .
