I did some reading last night on this subject but still a little unclear.
I just purchased a 2006 JCW with runflats.
Because of our roads I want to replace the 16" Konig Feathers (215/50 Conti Exr).
It is my understanding that the 06 JCW front brakes are the same as the front brakes on the 07- R56 s. I understand the 12mm vs 14mm stud issue on some of the 06s, that's not the question. I saw last night that a member had a JCW-GP with 16" cooper wheels on it with about 1/4" of clearance between rim and brake.
The Question is: Does anyone know for certain whether 16" Feathers will fit over the front JCW brakes? Love to see a picture if your running them with JCW brakes.

Is your new MINI a factory JCW with the red JCW brake calipers, or does it have the dealer installed JCW kit with "regular" brakes?

 

It has the red JCW calipers. What is the difference, other than color?

The JCW calipers are larger than the 02-06 R53 (Cooper S) calipers. Like you said already, they are about the same size as on the R56.

There is only one OEM 16" that will clear the JCW calipers properly. I don't know if the Koenig feathers have more room in them. You may wish to cross-post in the tires / wheels thread.
