Con:
1. Poor ride quality.
2. Heaviest tire avalible.
3. Avergage compromise in handling at best.
4. Cost a small fortune to replace. (Quoted over $240.00 each at Dryer Rinebold BMW MINI)

Pro:
1. You don't need a spare tire.

The whole point of the tire is that it is a run-flat. I was quoted $347.00 each from my local Goodyear dealer. Like the Pirelli Euphori@, which is the run-flat you get if you order the "performance" tires on your MINI, the RSA is a stiff, heavy tire. I don't know about the validity of the "ride quality" issue, since the MINI is supposed to be a sports car.

Runflats, IMO, are usless. They are heavy, squirmy, and rough riding. I have had 4 flats in my 19 years of driving, 3 of which were due to destroyed rims - which means a runflat would not have helped.

Another problem with the run-flats is that they have a very limited life when being "run flat". Even if you can safely drive your MINI to the nearest tire shop, chances are that they will not stock your unusual sized run-flat tires.

I do have one run-flat tire, which is mounted on an extra rim and kept at home. In the event I do get a flat around town, I'll call roadside assistance and have my car towed home where I can put the spare on and order a new tire at my convenience.

If on the road for a long trip, the spare gets tossed in the boot.
