Im praying that i get a r53, so now im trying to figure out what the best rim/tire combo is. i really would love to find a rim thats size 17, black with nice looking tires.. but im not sure what is good for a mini cooper, and like how wide you can go with stock things thanks soo much who ever helps out

I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm sure someone will chime in before too long. In the meantime, try the 'search' tool (Thread Tools) if you haven't already.

Max width I read on here that you can safely go is 215. Right now I am running 215/45/17. They're great for handling, just that the fronts sometimes rub the fender's blackish plastic trim on bumps and really really tight turns. You can also go with 215/40/17 which clear fine, although the gap is too big for my taste. OEM is skinnier, 205/45/17.
