8 inch width is agressive, you'll need a higher offset

Cypher,

The only wheel I know of in 8" was the Hamann HM4. I ran these for about 6 months and had rubbing issues with the H-Sport springs. I used a 215/40-17 tire and had to modify the rear wheel wells to avoid continued rubbing. I believe the offset was 43MM but the 8" wide width caused all of my issues. I would recommend not exceeding the 7.5" wide wheel. I sold these wheels to Ryan (red03miniS) but I haven't seen him on this forum for some time now. Are you considering the Hamann's or did you find another wheel in this width?

Yes I am considering the Hamann...
I might switch to Breyton, if there'r too much rubbing...
Breyton Magic Sport Mini (18x7)
I don't know it Breyton would cause rub or not...

Cypher,

The 7" width on the 18" wheel shouldn't cause any problems at all. Just be careful on the offset. Plenty of people using the 18" wheels with no problems. The only complaint I've heard of is ride and increased risk of bending a rim. I would tell you to stay away from the HM4's. I wasn't too crazy about the issues I had and I remember Ryan having rubbing issues with stock springs as well.

Good Luck!

Cypher,

I have the H-Sport springs. You shouldn't have the issues I've had with coilovers.
