Upgrading wheels, tires. Please help

Okay, this is the area of cars i do not know much about.

I love the wide, stretched wheels, but i dont know how to do it or what to look for.

If i go with the "aggresive" style is that worse for performance? I want my ride to look sweet but also still be able to move.

Basically what im asking is what do i need to do to make my mini look a little like this ride...

Get yourself some 16's with about a 36/38 et and a coilover suspension and add some spacers.

Those are for looks, can't really romp on them, meant for cruising low and slow.
