Looking for 15x9 Rims + Tires for Mini Cooper.

One of my friends are going to buy my 16x8 rims, since I want to upgrade, i'd like to go a little wider. Pretty sure 16x9's wouldn't fit so would 15x9/15x10 fit my '05 Mini? Please post...

And can somebody post a picture of a Mini Cooper with 15x9's? I'd like to see it before i do it.

EDIT: I've read somewhere that 13x10 would fit my car. Is this true? here's one set of 13x10's that i've found. Would these work with my car?

Another one which i prefer more...

13's definitely won't fit and neither will a 10" wide wheel. 9 is pretty much the widest we can fit unless you want a ton of poke. And that means a lot.

I would stick with a 16 unless you want to run a tall tire then 15's would work.

Ok. So this is a 15x9. and I'm really interested in this rim style...

Too bad it's not 4x100. Do they sell adapters for this type of rim?

EDIT: I've found these rims. Will these work 15x9 in the front, 15x9.5 in the back?

I am almost sure 15x9 rims will not fit. I have 15x7s and the inside of the rim almost touches the back lower control arm, and I was very careful about the offset. With that I use 225/45/15 tires. For a 15" rim, it would have to have an extreme offset sticking way out past the fender, then you would need a very short tire so it didn't rub the fender. Then your speedo and odometer will be off.

You are in the realm of extreme wheel sizes for a MINI. It is possible you could make something fit, but you need to be very aware of all the variables:
Rim size
Offset (which may have to be adjusted with spacers or adapters)
tire size and profile (The tire profile will change based on the size you choose and if it will be stretched on the rim etc.)

You have to make sure you clear:
Brake calipers
Suspension parts
Shocks
Fender clearance and rubbing

15x10 or 15x9 will fit.
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...5/ppuser/63407
shows 15x10 spinwerks on the front with 275/50 hoosier tire.

the poke is crazy, if I turn the wheel the front tire looks photoshopped.
to fit them on the rear required triming the plastic arches and metal fender. fitment takes a lot, and you need narrow coilover springs.

the only reason for 9 or 10" wide wheels on a mini is to run Race compound tires for autocross or track days.

for the street You won't find many 15" tires wider than 225 so there is no reason to go beyond 7.5"wide.

I've seen 225's stretched on 10" wide wheels and it looks dangerous.

On the street I run 16x7 et35+15mm spacers with 225/40 and it looks extreme enough.

yes, for my 15'x10 and my 16"x7 streets I run 21.5" diameter tires the normal diameter is 23 or 25 i believe. and I still had rubbing issues b4 i trimmed.
