Slotted and Cross Drilled rotors?

Can anybody recommend a "good" set of 4 for around $350?

why not just go with blanks? my experience has been that cross drilled rotors tend to crack. modern pads don't really out-gas so slotted doesn't really have too much benefit either than bling.

haha unfortunately I'm very shallow and they would be for bling, however if what you say is true then $350 for some rotors that will crack is not cool, I'll do some research on that.

Here you go and less than you were looking for at $299. The cracking issue can be a problem which I experienced personally on two occasions with another brand . The main reason for that situation is a lack of proper chamfering or in many cases no chamfering at all. As you will see via the information provided on our site this issue is dealt with properly.

If you do not track your car (which I extremely doubt) where extreme heavy braking is used, do not worry about rotors cracking.

it depends. most drilled rotors cause stress risers and the heating/cooling is what cracks them, not really the extreme temp. I've seen them crack under street applications with spirited driving. isn't all mini driving spirited? i would go with the TSW rotors. they are slotted for some bling

I found this to be true as it was the track events that seemed to do them in. I did not have the issue from street driving but it may have been a factor in some small way. The real key was the sharp edges of the holes left over from the drilling process which were excessive heat build up led to the surface crack issue. The company i was dealing with at the time assured me that it was only a cosmetic problem but were nice enough to send me another set anyway. When these also lasted less than season I went back to slotted only.
